Teaching style

I love to use interactive methods for learning as much as possible in my classroom. When giving direct instruction lessons, I include frequent checks for learning where students try solving problems on their own or with scaffolding or assistance as needed. I like to provide unconventional practice methods, such as having student write on their desks, complete escape rooms, and work together in groups to discover new learning or solve problems.

My own education history

I received a Bachelor's Degree in Math Education from the University of Georgia in 2008, and then received a Master's Degree in Math Education from Walden University in 2010. I have participated in several professional development courses throughout my career and have gained knowledge and experience in the areas of teaching English Language Learners, teaching Gifted learners, using Problem-Based Learning
