I have taught for almost 11 years, with Algebra being my favorite subject! I have taught grades 8, 9, and 10, and am currently teaching 9th grade Regular and Pre-AP Algebra 1. I have been on numerous curriculum writing committees covering every level including ESL and RTI. I am involved in many aspects of my school, and I enjoy supporting the AVID program!

Task Cards: Graphing or Writing Linear Inequalities Activity
You are getting two activities for the price of one! This activity contains 16 linear inequalities (including horizontal and vertical boundary lines) that must be rewritten in slope-intercept form, then graphed. Teaching style
I am going into my fifth year of using interactive notebooks with my students and I absolutely love them! Many of my former students have come back telling me that they use them in their upper level math classes. I also make foldable, use cooperative learning strategies and graphic organizers. I use a lot of color and try to get my students to talk and write about math as much as possible. I incorporate technology when it benefits my students, and I encourage them to solve problems using multiple representations.
