I give these out to my students monthly. I print them out on colored cardstock and change the color each month. They use these to choose a book, go to the library or for a quick check to see if they are reading on level. I also put their +/- Star Reading level growth in the corner. They love seeing how well they do each month and try hard to go up. The best thing of all is there are four to one page and they don't get lost as easy as bookmark too because they are bigger.
Use for interactive notebooks to help define and give examples on connotation and denotation. Show students that connotations can be negative or positive.
Teach your students the right and responsibilities of being a citizen and make them write an example of each or define the requirements for each right.
