About the store
I am currently in my 10th year of teaching middle school. I have primarily taught English and Literature, but I also spent one year teaching junior high math. I have helped to design a novel-based reading curriculum for middle school, and am working on a service-learning approach to my teaching. I teach 5th grade Reading, 6th-8th grade English, 8th grade Literature, 7th and 8th grade Art, 5th grade Music, 8th grade Computers and PE, and Acting.

"Facebook" Book Summary Page
This is a great "facebook" review activity template for any book or story called "tracebook", since the students are "tracing" the events of the plot and information about the characters. The page contains places for doing each of the following:
-drawing pictures of the main character, climactic event, and setting
-reviewing the events of plot (introduction through resolution)
-identifying theme and drawing a connection to other stories read with the same theme
-giving the "likes" and "dislike

Experience
I am currently in my 10th year of teaching middle school. I have primarily taught English and Literature, but I also spent one year teaching junior high math. I have helped to design a novel-based reading curriculum for middle school, and am working on a service-learning approach to my teaching. Teaching style
I strive to come up with interesting, hands-on lessons for my students that are rich in content, yet fun and exciting. I promote service-learning in my classroom- the idea of connecting curricular goals to student-led service projects. Most importantly, I provide lessons that are built on real-life experiences and designed to encourage critical thinking skills.

My own education history
I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and minors in English and Music. My goal is to begin working on a Master's in Administration within the next year.
