Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in developmentally appropriate, play-based learning, shaped by 25 years of experience in early childhood education. I believe children learn best through curiosity, movement, creativity, and meaningful relationships. Rather than relying on worksheets or rigid instruction, I design hands-on learning experiences that invite exploration and encourage children to think, create, and problem-solve. I prioritize the whole child, supporting early literacy and foundational skills while also nurturing social-emotional growth, independence, and confidence. In my classroom, learning feels joyful, purposeful, and deeply connected to how young children naturally develop.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest teacher moments come from watching children thrive in play-based classrooms where worksheets were never needed. My students developed strong foundations in letters, numbers, and problem-solving through creative, hands-on games designed to spark curiosity and invite exploration. Seeing children become confident, capable, and excited about learning through meaningful play continues to be the most rewarding part of my work as an educator.
