Experience

Teaching style

I believe in a lifelong pursuit of education which stimulates and excites the learner, therefore I teach in an open an relaxed manner, in an enriching and safe environment where all students can grow at their own pace while learning to challenge him/herself in order to achieve their highest potential.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My students are my greatest award and it is an honor in and of itself to teach them, as they inspire me each and every day. What I enjoy most about teaching is looking at the smiles, hearing the laughter, and watching the "Aha!" moments on the student's faces when the little light bulbs clicks on. Each day in the classroom is filled with excitement & wonder, and is ever changing & never boring.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Masters of Ed. in Curriculum & Development. I am also a member of the F.R.S.A. - The Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts.

Additional biographical information

I really started my career when I was in pony-tails and my Kindergarten teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. As I counted to 100 while licking my tootsie roll lollipop, I quickly replied "A Kindergarten Teacher!" I was hooked! Dreams really do come true. In my spare time I enjoy art, reading, photography, writing, and watching my bird chase my dog around the house!
