Stellar Evolution Foldable, Star Life Cycle Foldable

Stellar Evolution Facts/Forces Foldable I have included 2 foldables. The Facts foldable (Pages 1 - 8) has an emphasis on giving facts for each star life cycle phase. It does NOT emphasize inward gravitational forces vs. outward pressure forces. If your lesson does NOT include this detail, I would say use this one. The Forces foldable (Pages 10-17) does include room for facts but also emphasizes the role of inward gravitational forces vs. outward pressure forces. I find that this foldable works

Terrestrial vs. Jovian Planets - AVID Research, Writing, Venn Diagram

I created this lesson for an AVID demonstration. I have students use their devices (Chromebooks) to research data about Earth, Jupiter, and another planet of their choice. Once they have done that they will compare their planet's data with the Earth data and Jupiter data. They will then decide if their planet is terrestrial or jovian based on the data and a discussion with their group/team. Then they can arrange the relevant information in a Venn diagram followed by a conclusion section that all

Astronomy - Electromagnetic Waves Research

This sheet allows students to research how electromagnetic waves are used in astronomy. It has QR codes that send students to websites which will help them research the EM waves. It is one page, front and back, with a rubric. Before this assignment, I introduce the structure of electromagnetic waves and show some images of nebula, planets and black holes in visible, infrared, uv and radio waves.
