This project is a 3d origami collaborative. I am using this with my 3rd-6th grade students, but could definitely be used through high school. This can be used to create a Chinese Dragon for Chinese New Year. Math, ruler use, and multiculturalism are used to create the 3D origami pieces. This school wide (or community) workshop helps to introduce multiculturalism, symbolism and geometric art. This is a great end of the year project as it helps students to apply all the skills learned while building creativity. This year my students used symbols to convey a message through the mandala art.
