In this Introduction to Rhyme Scheme slideshow, students are introduced to what a basic rhyme scheme is as well as how the rhyme scheme of a sonnet works. There are interactive parts of the presentation where students can come up to the white board and write the rhyme scheme into the parts that are missing.

In this assignment, students are asked to create a sculpture made from recycled materials. This project could be used in conjunction with a unit on recycling or with a short story about conservation. The uses for this hands-on project are innumerable!
