Use when teaching addition of multiple numbers. How to play: Each player gets 15 markers. Roll 3 dice (or roll one die three times) and add those numbers. Cover that space with your marker. We usually play this with counters, but I thought my kids would enjoy Christmas pictures. I made boxes with Christmas items in them. The children have to count the total number of items in the box they choose. One player covers up some of the pictures with a piece of paper or hand. The other player must figure out how many items are covered by subtracting the number of items left from the total number. Directions: Pick a line. Count how many items are on the line. That is your total number.
