This insect classification page allows students to learn about the most common orders of insects and compare them in different habitats. I use this as an outdoor rotation with three groups visiting a rain garden/prairie area, forested area, and a grassy area. We finish by discussing student findings and how the data collected can be used. How might this data change from season to season or possibly year to year.

Use this rubric to quickly assess how students are doing with Distance Learning. Rubric could be used for conferring with students or for Parent Teacher Conferences.

I use this data sheet with student to understand that if they want a project that looks and sounds professional that having a plan of execution from beginning to end helps. This form also provides a space for reflection upon completing the plan.
