About the store
I create engaging, ready-to-use literacy and SEL resources for Early Years and Primary classrooms, with a strong focus on storytelling, vocabulary development, and hands-on learning. With experience teaching in both early years and secondary (GCSE English), I design materials that support learners across a wide range of abilities, including ESL/EAL students. My resources are classroom-tested, easy to use, and designed to save teachers time while keeping students engaged and confident in their learning. I've been teaching for 5 years now as an ELA and homeroom teacher. Originally, I taught Year 5 (4th Grade) in the U.K. Three years ago, I moved to an international school in Japan and now teach ELA to ESL students from Kinder all the way up to 11th Grade. It's a lot to handle but a challenge I was prepared for. These days, I teach mostly KS3 and KS4 ELA and I am loving my time with my upper graders. I'm now wanting to share my resources as when I first started teaching abroad, there was (and still is) a lack of materials which could be adapted for non-native speakers who have a high level of English but still need extra help. I am currently getting my MA in Literature to be able to better support my KS3 and KS4 students and make better, more engaging lessons in the future. Due to my strict schedule, I will be mostly posting EYFS resources until I have the time to polish my GCSE resources.

Teaching style

My teaching philosophy emphasizes Project-Based Learning, where students tackle real-world challenges, promoting hands-on engagement and deeper understanding. I focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and analysis by guiding students through complex issues and encouraging creative solutions. Communication is also key, as I help students build skills in presenting ideas, collaborating, and active listening. This approach fosters independent, adaptable learners equipped with essential skills for future success.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Last year, 100% of my students moved into either on level or above level in their standardise tests. My students have gone on to win regional and national speech competitions in Japan with speeches developed in class. 72% of my 11th Graders received offers of early admissions to Universities in the USA and U.K. 100% received offers to universities in the USA, the U.K. and Japan.
