Psychological ideas illustrated

Conveying complex ideas is not always easy. Both what we say and how we say it are intertwined and just as important. It is often said that if we are having trouble explaining something, it may be because we don't fully understand it. Models, illustrations and analogies can help. This tool provides a comprehensive series of hand drawn illustrations educators can use to explain ideas to their students, families and other educators.

The derivation of the Dirac equation

This is a step-by-step derivation of the famous Dirac equation. In particle physics, the Dirac equation is a relativistic wave equation derived by British physicist Paul Dirac in 1928. A test for dementia - a fun icebreaker

Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important that we keep mentally alert. The saying; "If you don't use it, you will lose it," also applies to the brain, so.....A fun icebreaker that gets the class and/or any audience thinking, giggling and beating themselves up for guessing the wrong answer. Einstein's filed equations

In the general theory of relativity, the Einstein field equations (also known as Einstein's equations) relate the geometry of spacetime to the distribution of matter within it. The equations were published by Einstein in 1915 in the form of a tensor equation which related the local spacetime curvature (expressed by the Einstein tensor) with the local energy, momentum and stress within that spacetime (expressed by the stress–energy tensor.) This is that derivation.
