Students create a mind map to help organize their research for a Science project. I would recommend increasing the paper size to 11x17 when photocopying it.

Numbers are all around us! This activity enables students to search for numbers in a meaningful, real world context. They practice writing the number as well as spelling the number word.
Give the students a variety of 3D solids. They use each one to discover if it will roll, stack, or slide (or a combination!). Discuss what attributes the 3D figures have that would be a good predictor of whether or not they will roll, stack, or slide.
Provide the students with a variety of 3D figures. Students choose their own sorting rule (e.g., square faces, 8 vertices, etc.) and record their work in the venn diagram. This can be done individually/pairs/small groups.
