This Reader's Theatre is adapted from Arnold Nobel's "Frog and Toad All Year" chapter titled "The Corner." I used this as a supplemental activity for the week we read the story from the Harcourt Trophies series, but could be used independently. I created this for 5 students: Frog, Toad, and 3 narrators. I use this file every morning with my first graders to practice identifying the date, using a calendar, identifying the days of the week (yesterday was, today is, tomorrow will be), and to practice daily math routines. It includes a set of blank ten frames with yellow and red counters to model numbers and move into simple addition.
