Understanding My Character
This character study activity assists students in identifying unique characteristics about a favorite story character. Students are challenged to take notice of what their character "sees, does, feels, and thinks". Created to use with character traits unit of study. May also be useful as a pre-writing activity for character development.
This simple story map is great for younger elementary students to use as a reader's response during literacy rotations (Daily 5). Students can complete the story map independently or in pairs, groups, or whole class.
