This math lesson plan was built around the use of the Go Math! curriculum. It is fully editable to allow for insertion of your own standards, etc.

2 columns of 4 simple story problems each. Lends itself to a Kagan-friendly classroom quite easily! Fold the paper in half lengthwise, so that only 4 problems are visible. Students then do a Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up and ask their partner "Can you help me?". That partner is in charge of helping the student solve one of the four problems. After each have solved a problem for the other, they Stand Up, Hand Up, and Pair Up to find a new partner. Students then repeat the process. This "Give On

This simple foldable allows students to see the different forms a single number can take. Cut down the middle of the paper, place a thin line of glue under the objective, and clip the short lines between each square. Students should then use the space beneath to write a digit representation, the word form, and a simple picture of their number. Great for interactive math notebooks!
