About the store
I am in my 33rd year of teaching. I have spent most of that time in the classroom teaching grades 4 & 5. I cannot imagine doing anything else. I changed to Reading Specialist grades 3-6 two years ago; I am really enjoying the new challenge.

Experience
I am in my 33rd year of teaching. I have spent most of that time in the classroom teaching grades 4 & 5. I cannot imagine doing anything else. I changed to Reading Specialist grades 3-6 two years ago; I am really enjoying the new challenge.
Teaching style
I incorporate a variety of strategies as well as including the arts in my classroom. I am really excited to be focusing on reading as the Reading Specialist for grades 3-6.
My own education history
I have a B.S in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement K-12 from MSU-Billings. I have a Masters in Arts in the Curriculum from Lesley University.
Additional biographical information
I am married and have 2 children in college. My daughter graduated with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2016. My son has high functioning Asperger's and is now a chemical engineer who graduated in 2016. I have lived with educational challenges as well as working with them throughout my career. Our 3 chihuahuas now keep us company. Our volunteer work through the Elks Association keeps us busy. I am also the secretary of our local Teacher's Association.
