This PowerPoint focuses on basic concepts of solid figures. It provides: - a look at the properties of basic solids - the differences between pyramids and prisms - how pyramids and prisms are named - faces, edges and vertices - helpful resources (links) There are 16 slides, but there are several transitions and actions on a few.
This is a great way for students to practice creating equivalent fractions.
- Use the simplified fraction in the center of the flower to begin.
- Students write their equivalent fractions on the flower petals.
- Color, cut and place on a pipe cleaner to add an extra touch.
- Display around your room!
Once completed...have students create their own "Fraction Flower" garden by ordering their flowers from least to greatest (or vice versa).
One of my students created this PowerPoint about several bones found within the skeletal system. (She did a great job and will receive the profit earned.) This PowerPoint can serve as a great teaching supplement or as classroom notes for those interested.
This can be used as a mini assessment, homework assignment or class warm up. There are 3 problems that allow students to practice finding the percent of a number.
