In my years of teaching Chemistry (Conceptual, Academic, Honors) there has been an increase in the burden to teach more and more concepts, and test and retest to be ready for state mandated exams. Often both myself and my students become bored in the rote nature of many of the Chemistry topics. We want make this subject as practical as possible. I wanted to relate what we are examining to current topics in the news today. It is from this that I created a series of GREEN CHEMISTRY activities.
