These slides will discuss the psychological premise behind grief and the bereavement process. What to expect to learn: Definition of bereavement as a normal process in response to death.Historical perspective of human loss -Freud, Lindenmann, Bowlby, and Worden.Common grounds of bereavement.Identifiers of reaction to grief and risk factors measured.Psychological interventions and long-term modalities for healing.Grief, Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and ABC Model.

You will receive the following: A series of 10 slides that determine which of the following person, item, or object a student would want to be. For instance, would you rather be a Greek God/Goddess or Roman God/Goddess.

A slide with an activity that describes how to calm one's mind. By taking 5 minutes, you can have time to process and breathe in becoming less upset.

Here is a worksheet to use with students in order to clarify short-term goals along with a long-term goal. What to expect to learn: Establish short-term goal, target date, what to do to be successful, and any obstacles that one may face along the way.Long-term goal in reference to career and post-secondary plans.

Students can use the example of "The Wind" by James Reeves to create their own poem with 8 lines to a verse (octave). Learners are encouraged to create a poem with an element of weather such as air, wind, snow, etc.
