These are formative assessment checklists for third grade. The standards are the NC essential Science standards. It also has standard based grading along the top for a reference if needed. There is a place for the assignment to be listed along with the date. You can use a check system or actually put the standard underneath each assignment beside each student. I use numbers for my students on these checklists just in case another person see's the checklist they do not know which student it refer

Kid friendly I can statements with a checklist to use in the classroom. It follows the NC Science Essential Standards for 3rd grade. This is an easy way to check off what you have taught and can be printed for each student. I tried to find something like this and could not for the NC Essential Standards. I thought I would create one and pass it on.
