I have been a teacher for the last 12 years in a Two-Way Bilingual School (Spanish/English). It has been a wonderful experience that I enjoy immensely. Working with children has been fabulous and all I would ever want to do! Give your opportunities an opportunity for learning about an important female mathematician or scientist. It is crucial for females to see themselves in the sciences. Moreover, this assignment is one that is easy to understand, has a rubric to assess that is kid friendly, and allows for students to use technology for research. Not only this, but the end product is a brochure that is interdisciplinary with art, math, and speaking and listening standards. Enjoy!
