About the store
I was getting frustrated with the lack of built-in skill practice in published curriculum packages. So I started creating my own to fill in those gaps. I share these with my teaching partner and she mentioned I should post them for others to use. Here I am, finally taking her advice. This is my 26th year of teaching. 20 of these years have been with my first love...MATH! I hope your students enjoy doing these quick drills and begin charting their results.

Experience

I was getting frustrated with the lack of built-in skill practice in published curriculum packages. So I started creating my own to fill in those gaps. I share these with my teaching partner and she mentioned I should post them for others to use. Here I am, finally taking her advice. This is my 26th year of teaching. 20 of these years have been with my first love...MATH! I hope your students enjoy doing these quick drills and begin charting their results.

Teaching style

I believe my students learn best by writing down their work on a dry erase board, binder cover, looseleaf, chalkboard etc. Unfortunately with the increase of assignments given on computers, I have found they are NO longer showing their work. By doing these quick fluency drills, I gather information on who I need to pull aside for more practice and which students need some acceleration. I've been creating short skill practice slides for my classes which I share my math colleague. The "practice slideshows" started out looking generic, however I decided to spice them up and share with TpT users. I love this site and have made many purchases throughout my years of teaching. I hope you find my products useful.

My own education history

I graduated from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in 1996 with my Bachelor's of Science in Education (Grades 1-8). In 2004, I completed my Master's program in Math (Grades 6-8).
