I’m currently a third-grade teacher, but my classroom experience spans from preschool through fifth grade. I began as a Pre-K aide, worked as a tutor in grades K–2, and spent four years teaching fifth grade before landing in third. Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, student-centered, and practical. I believe students learn best when expectations are clear, instruction is intentional, and learning feels approachable rather than overwhelming. I focus on breaking skills into manageable steps, using student-friendly language, and providing consistent routines that build confidence. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and capable—and where learning is engaging, meaningful, and achievable for every learner.

My own education history

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University and my master’s degree from the University of the Cumberlands. I am currently working toward a Rank I as a Reading Specialist, with a strong focus on creating practical, classroom-tested resources that support real teachers and real students.
