Sorting words with the "oo" sound as in book and the "oo" sound as in moon.
Students cut out the picture/word cards and sort them into the two different sounds.
They may either glue them onto the word sort page provided and glue directly into their books.

Game objective: To be the first to achieve 4 in a row
Player 1 rolls the dice, finds a word ending in that blend, reads it and then places a counter on the word.
Player 2 does the same.
If a player rolls a star, they make choose the blend of their choice.
If a player rolls a blend and all of those blends are taken, they lose a turn.
Continue playing until one of the players gets 4 counters in a row.

Differentiate your teaching when setting up counting on activities.
Some children in your class will only be counting on from numbers between 0-10 whereas others will be playing with numbers in the hundreds.
This is an activity for the whole class. Cut out the template and laminate. Children then write a number at the top and fold in the two dots, one dot or zero dots for counting on to that number.
