About the store
I have been teaching elementary school in the NYC public school system since 2007. I began my career as a library cluster teacher. After a year in the library, I was offered my own classroom teaching 3rd grade. For 2 years, I taught 3rd grade and was then offered a 5th grade Writing position which I also held for 2 years. I also taught 5th grade ELA/Social Studies for 3 years. For 1 year, I taught in a 4th grade self-contained classroom. It made me nervous at first to have to go back and teach all of the subjects again; but I quickly realized how much I missed teaching math to children. This past year, I was lucky enough to stay in 4th grade but only teaching Math and Science.
