Cut out the pieces and velcro them to a long thick ribbon, equally spaced apart. This becomes an interactive way to retell a story. After I have read a story, I pass the pieces out to students, they have to answer the part they have and then they velcro it back to the ribbon to watch the story come back to life. Wonderful graphic organizer to help students organize their thoughts about... anything. I use this a lot with nonfiction texts on animals. Once this is filled out, the students write about the animal using what has been filled in on this chart. This could also be an assessment for comprehension.

This is a 45 page packet in which the students use the FRY word color codes to color in the pictures! My students absolutely love this for bell work, homework, etc. It is a fun and easy way to get our kiddos to practice their FRY words. The packet uses MOST of the first 100 FRY word list as well as all of the color words.
