About the store
I am a veteran educator with over 25 years of experience teaching students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as adult learners in teacher education courses. I have taught primarily in English Language Arts (Communication Arts) and Social Studies, and I remain an active classroom teacher today. In addition to classroom teaching, I serve as a professional development facilitator, curriculum writer, and member of my district’s curriculum advisory board. My work focuses on competency-based learning, standards-based grading, proficiency scales, student ownership, formative assessment, and reflective classroom practices. I also have extensive experience with the Lucy Calkins Workshop Model and student-centered instructional design. Every resource in this store is research-based, classroom-tested, and designed with real teachers in mind — teachers who want clear systems, practical tools, and resources that actually work within the constraints of real classrooms. My goal is to provide materials that support both strong instruction and sustainable teaching practices in middle and secondary classrooms.
