Experience
I have been teaching special education for 8 years: MSD and LBD. I am currently working on my Rank 1 in Special Education. My range of teaching has been allowed me to be exposed to multiple ages and multiple disability levels.
Teaching style
All students can learn, sometimes we (as teachers) need to adjust our teaching styles to best suit our students' needs so they may meet and exceed their potential. I like to be structured and organized so that when the chaotic-ness of the classroom comes into effect that my students are not affected more than necessary.
My own education history
I attended Eastern Kentucky University where I received my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in MSD (Moderate and Severe Disabilities). Western Kentucky University is where I have obtained my LBD certification and where I will complete my Rank 1.
Additional biographical information
I am a wife and a mother of 4 beautiful children... I was a stay-at-home mom for 6 years where we had "Momma School" to prepare them for their academic and social lives. As a family we enjoy the outdoors, including hiking, archery, and hunting.
