Experience

When I graduated with me B.A. in Early Childhood Education in December, I began teaching in the special ed department at an elementary school in Ohio. I worked with K-3rd graders on skills specific for IEPs in both pull our and push in settings. That summer, I was offered a 1st grade teaching position in Bluffton, SC and have been here ever since.

Teaching style

I am a constructivist educator, who realizes that teaching does not always exist in a perfect bubble. I beleive kids do best when they reach conclusions themselves through guidence and experimentation. The content I will share will range from indepth lesson plans for arts integrated lessons, to engaging games,to quick check ins to assess where students currently stand with a skill.

My own education history

I went to Kent State University where I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Education. While teaching 1st grade I received my Masters in Arts Integration, as well as my Gifted and Talented Certification and Read to Succeed Certification.
