I am a first year teacher. I have strived this year to work on different ways to stay organized, while trying to maintain a paperless classroom. I try and use alot of technology within my classroom and use the technology to my advantage as well. The students love getting to use the technology and they are actually excited to use the clickers for tests and quizzes, and like to use edmodo.
This is a template that is used to keep track of grades, attendance, and participation points for each of my classes. You can upload your rosters right into this spreadsheet to use it for your class and print out blank sheets to keep track of assignments and grades before uploading them onto an online server. This is great to use as a backup copyfor all your grades incase the server ever goes down and you loose your online information.
This is a document to help you organize and keep track of your lessons. I like to hyperlink all my files into this document incase a student is absent or needs an extra copy of the assignment. In the far right column, I like to put the standards that are met with these assignments. It is a good reference point to check progress through a semester or to help pace yourself with material. It is also a great way to show parents and administration what all is being done within your classroom.
This is a blank template for the game Jeopardy. STUDENTS LOVE THIS, and its a GREAT REVIEW GAME to play the day before tests. You can use this game with buzzers to give it more of a real life effect. This game keeps students on their toes and keeps their attention throughout the whole game. It is set up to use on a smartboard. Provided on each answer screen is a home button, and once the question is used, the points will automatically dissappear.
This is a behavior warnig slip that I made for a High School classroom. It is great for creating behavior management plans and to keep parents updated on any issues that may happen in class.
This slip is used to give out to your students if they are missing any homework assignments or need to know what they are missing. Some school have a homework recovery plan for students and this is what I use at my school. If students are missing work, then they receive one of these slips and are told to spend time after school getting this work caught up.
I use this to keep track of all my lessons and help organize them with their standards. This is a great reference sheet to look back at what was done on certain days. GREAT IF STUDENTS ARE ABSENT! If a student is absent, you can look back to the date they were gone and see what exactly was done that day. I like to hyperlink my files into this document so that if a student is absent or needs another copy of an assignment, you can access the file directly and print it for them. I also like to a

I spend the first few days in the classroom just getting students comfortable around me and their peers. We play alot of icebreaker games to help the studnets open up more.
Everyday the students come in, there is a bellwork question on the board to help them get focused for the day. Students generally answer this on a clicker system so that they can instantly see the results and allows us to review the question afterwards.
I am a full time science educator. I also work for two separate pharmacies, and I am a volunteer FireFighter, photographer, and storm chaser. I enjoy everything I have accomplished and am proud to serve my community.
