This can be used as a whole group or center activity. Students will choose a popcorn piece with an adverb written on it. They will place the popcorn on the correct popcorn box. Included are: Adverbs of Place Adverbs of Time Adverbs of Manner Interrogative Adverbs Affirmative and Negative Adverbs Choose the type of adverbs that are appropriate for your students/grade level. Students look at the pair of clocks and write the time below each one. They have to figure out how many hours/minutes have elapsed from the first clock to the second clock. Since elapsed time is a difficult concept for young children to grasp I would recommend using this for a small group or student pairs.

Copy the kite and kite tails onto colored construction paper. Students write long i words on the kite tails and attach them to the kite with yarn or ribbon. Makes a colorful wall display.

Twelve different fact families are included with this download. Print, cut, and laminate for student use. This can be used as a center to reinforce what has been taught in the classroom. Updated 3/3/14 to include a blank page to create your own.

Students write long a words on flowers and glue them to the back of a paper vase. There are four different styles of flowers included. You can copy them onto different colored construction paper to make a colorful display.

Copy the pitcher onto different colored construction paper. You can leave the ice cubes white or copy onto a light blue paper. Students write long u words onto the ice cubes. The cubes can be glued to the pitcher, or you can use yarn to have them hang from the spout.

Students write long e words on leaves and attach them to a tree. The leaves and tree can be copied onto construction paper. This can be completed during center time or when working with small or large groups. Three different types of leaves are included.

This is great for a learning center. Students match the words with the missing vowel diphthong. They record their answers on their answer sheet. Common Core: Phonics and Word Recognition RF.2.3b

Includes the suffixes -able, -est, -less, -ful, -ly, -ness. Students have to match the cupcake tops to the correct suffix on the cupcake bottom to make a word. There are 8 words for each suffix. A recording sheet and answer key are included. (Please note that a few of the words can be used for more than one suffix. This is not recorded on the answer key.)

This can be used as a math center to practice or review place value concepts. Print, cut and laminate. Students pick a card and look at the base ten blocks on it.
