I created this project for students to work in groups collecting, interpreting, displaying, and making conclusions from data in a context that a lot of them enjoy: the Super Bowl! Students get to fill the shoes of sports analysts in deciding what variables are most impactful to consider and how best to communicate them, all culminating in an informed prediction on the potential winner. The Project:Students are given access to data from the past season of the NFL for both teams in the Super Bowl.
I created and compiled a collection of 24 fun and challenging math problems across various branches of mathematics (Algebra, Probability, Counting, Geometry, Logic, and more) to get students invested in mathematics outside of the traditional curriculum. This resource includes a blank unit circle with areas to fill in the radian angles, degree angles, sine values, cosine values, and tangent values for student practice. Additionally, a unit circle quiz and answer key are also included with directions and a full page of problems of various difficulty levels to solve with a completed unit circle.
