This is a full unit on the Fertile Crescent and Mesopotamia.

This unit focuses on the Stone Ages and Early Cultures prior to the development of permanent settlements. The unit starts by looking at the stages of the Earth's development and the development of the early human ancestors. The unit looks at the Paleolithic Age and the hunter/ gatherer societies and how they survived with simple stone tools. The unit transitions to the Mesolithic Age with some advances in tools and weapons. Finally, the unit focuses on the great Neolithic Revolution and Age. The

This activity is designed for students to view cave paintings dating back to the Paleolithic and Mesolithic Ages. Students will view the paintings, discuss and interpret them. They will have a painting activity to do with the notes. This is Hand Out 7 of the unit.
