Students are given speeds and prices of objects. They need to calculate the speed or price of each item. Using the rates they found, they will answer questions about the scenarios.

This is a handbook for students who want to participate in a science fair. I have created this document over the past couple years to help my students at the high school level be successful in science fairs. It can also be used at the middle school level. I have had roughly 25-30 students qualify for the state science fair and 2 student observers for the Intel International Science Fair over the past 5 years. This activity will help students explore graphing and writing trig (sin and cos) equations using Desmos. They will explore the differences between sin and cos, vertical shift, amplitude, period, and frequency. After students do the activity I have students do an assignment where they just write equations for trig graphs, then another assignments where they just graph trig equations. Doing this activity in groups works extremely well.

Students will fill in the missing values on the table. Then they will calculate the unit rate of the scenario.

This activity will have students practice matching expressions, equations, and inequalities with word problems. This activity also incorporates comprehension and practice questions.

This assignment contains problems to practice finding the inverse of coordinates, functions, and graphs. It also has problems practicing finding the inverse then composite functions.

This assignment contains problems for students to practice composite functions. The assignment also has links to YouTube regarding composite functions.

This assignment includes problems for writing quadratic functions from a table. It also includes a link to a YouTube video pertaining to writing quadratic functions.

This book is ready to be printed, stapled, and handed out to students. This book has beginning levels of exponent properties to more advanced levels. Teachers can work through the book along with the students doing a few problems everyday or as much as the students can handle.
