I love teaching kids mathematics and I have been doing so for 20 years. I started my career with 8th grade students - my favorites - and I am still invigorated by their energy.
Surprisingly, working with mathematics teachers was both enjoyable and very stressful. I grow tremendously every time I prepare for professional development sessions or college classes.

Color Unit Circle with ALL of the Details
Download this color unit circle for your students. The colorful representation will enable them to make connections between reference angles and their coordinates. All reference angles (in radians and in degrees) and ordered pairs are labeled. The triangles are color coded with their descriptive information. Desmos was used to draw the basic circle and triangles. The labels on the angles were added using Word.

Teaching style
I try to infuse the lessons I prepare for my students with humor, color, intrigue, and organization. I don't think that just one title would be able to describe my teaching style - as I change it all of the time to keep my students curious and myself challenged.

2013 Rosenthal Award for Innovation in Mathematics Teaching Finalist. Museum of Mathematics, New York City, New York. Competitive national award that promotes innovative mathematics lessons for secondary students. Lesson: Construction of an Illusion.
