About the store
I have dedicated the past nine years to teaching within the New York City public school system. My teaching experience encompasses a range of science subjects, including general science for grades 6, 7, 8, and 9, as well as Living Environment. Furthermore, I am an active member of the Urban Advantage program. This program is a standards-based partnership that aims to enhance students' understanding of scientific inquiry through collaborations between urban public schools and cultural institutions focused on science, such as zoos, botanical gardens, museums, and science centers.

Experience

I have dedicated the past nine years to teaching within the New York City public school system. Teaching style

I teach science because it is fun, exciting and thought provoking. My passion for the subject is evident in my approach as well as in my results. My lessons are well prepared and interactive whenever possible, utilizing hands on activities. I teach a diverse set of students. Thus, I believe that students learn best when their unique learning styles are addressed.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My students achieved a notable accomplishment in 2024, securing second place in the District 10 science fair held in the Bronx, New York.

My own education history

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree from The City University of New York and a Master's in Education (Biology concentration) from The Relay Graduate School of Education.
