Experience
I have taught middle school math and/or science for the past 13 years in Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle, Delaware and Chester, Pennsylvania. I currently teach 7th grade math in New Castle, Delaware.
Teaching style
My teaching style varies from teacher-led instruction to student-led instruction.
My own education history
I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2002. I received my Masters of Education from Wilmington University in 2007. I am a certified Middle Level Math Teacher and a certified Middle Level Science Teacher.
Additional biographical information
I am happily married to my husband James Finney and we have three amazing children. My husband and I created a hip-hop math curriculum called JFINTV Lyrical Math which teaches the middle school common core math standards through hip-hop. We are working to continue to share this curriculum with as many students, teachers and parents as possible across the world!
