This is a fun lesson that uses a candy bar to teach plate tectonics and the types of plate boundaries.
This activity leads the students through a simulation of the movement of plates while using a milky way. The activity includes background information, a diagram, fill in the blank questions and short answer questions.
The sample shows two of the 6 pages of the activity. My students love this activity and always remember the plate boundaries!
These are 2 basic probability games that you can prepare for your students using dice and bags with colored chips. After students identify the probability they are asked the fairness of the game, as well as to create a line plot of their data.
This activity allows students to test the resistance of 3 different types of rocks to Physical Weathering.
The activity includes student lab sheets that go through the scientific process. Students fill in the blanks and complete short answer questions as they complete the activity. The activity also includes a data table for observations.
Teacher's directions and an answer key are included. The sample shows 2 pages of the activity and 1 page of the answer key.
I use this rubric with my Kindergarten and First Grade Multilingual Learners as we are completing picture talks. Students are encouraged to talk about a picture with the most detail possible and then practice writing their statements. We do this to prepare for Access testing.
