I am so excited about sharing this product with you! This is a fun, simple way to teach the scientific method to elementary aged children! The file also includes a modification to add identification of variables for fourth grade and above. I have included lesson instructions, a crock pot hot cocoa recipe, and several worksheets that accompany the lesson. My favorite worksheet is a small foldable that allows the students to keep track of each step of the scientific method while testing toppin
Making "oobleck" and homemade bouncy balls is not a new thing to us "elementary scientists!" However, my students had SO MANY questions about this fun, hands-on science experiment, that I thought I'd let them take it home and answer those questions on their own! Since school is almost out for summer, I made these recipe cards, so they can make "oobleck" balls all summer! They all wanted to vary the amount of the ingredients to get more bounce or more stretch...the recipe gives them a place to
Have fun teaching students about mass and the scientific method using MARDI GRAS beads! This is a great addition to any social studies unit on Mardi Gras or science lesson on mass. The lesson only requires a few simple tools. I have designed this lesson using a cute little foldable with some great guiding questions. Thank you for checking out my latest product!
This is so much fun for the younger grades to learn about opportunity cost during a first, second, or third grade economics unit. It will require you to bring in some cupcakes and toppings, but it will motivate the students to learn and provide them a great example about making choices.Thank you for checking out my product. These recipe cards can be used for great fun in your "green" classroom! Students can also take them home and share what they learned with family members! I am working on a mini-unit to go along with these, but I wanted to share these with you first. When I used them, we tested and compared the natural products to store bought products. It made for a GREAT environmental science lesson!

This is a great worksheet for students to do at home. They will get practice telling time and have fun doing it! I like this because it will have them thinking and looking at the time all night!
Here a quick freebie to help your students follow the scientific method while calculating the speed on smooth and rough surfaces! A towel or blanket works great as a rough surface and the floor is a very good smooth surface. The students can use matchbox cars to measure distance for this lesson.
