This review sheet is a great reference for students as they analyze for rhetorical appeals. This is just one level of analysis, but it's a great entry point for students at the beginning of the year. From there, students can add in more lenses for analysis, while still considering the rhetorical appeals that a writer or speaker crafts into a text.

This resource is a great handout for students who are fleshing out the rhetorical situation as they analyze texts for AP Lang. The first page details the rhetorical situation. The second page provides an evidence-brainstorming Acronym called GROUCH, how to use it, and two examples of it in use. The first example ties to the first page. The second example provides a different topic and perspective of breadth of evidence.
