This file contains a word problem about buying a gift for a friend. Brian has to make an organized list of the different possibilities he can come up with for Mike's gift. He then will make a tree diagram. Answer key is included.

This project will make kids watch different 30-minute television programs to record the percentage of the 30-min show is commercials. Students will be converting fractions into decimals for this activity. Students will work in a group to compare their findings to answer a couple of questions.

This is a research paper to have students research great mathematicians and to write a biography and present a visual aid to the class. My 6th students are currently working on this project. Included is the overview, teacher's expectations, student's goal,and a grading rubric

This file includes a word problem for the students to solve finding the probability. Also included on the worksheet in a table for an activity to complete. Students choose item randomly from a paper bag provided by the teacher with different objects, coins, color tiles, etc, and the students determine the probability.

There are 293 ways to make change for a dollar. The students will brainstorm to come up with as many as they can. This file includes the answers.
