Using any size grid paper, students choose a perimeter and draw all the rectangles they can with their chosen perimeter. Students use an appropriate equation to calculate the area. Students color/cut/paste the examples to construction paper. Finally, student write a paragraph about the relationship between the shape of the rectangle and the area.
