This engaging, open-ended geography activity can go along with any geography unit you are already using. Blank postcard with writing prompts allows the student to express what they found interesting and memorable. Critical thinking questions such as "What was different from where you live" make this much more than just a geography activity. I've included instructions on how to use this as a real, mailable postcard, so they can send this to a friend or loved one. Optional template for back side

Experience
I have worked with students of all ages, from preschool up to college tutoring. I was the prechool craft director for a few years. I have helped privately tutor children going into Kindergarten. I am now a stay-at-home mom with a preschooler and elementary student, and work their learning into our daily activities, as well as structured learning time.
Teaching style
I teach in segmented, buildable skills. Primarily spiral teaching methods. I believe this is how the mind naturally wants to learn. It is my goal to provide students with engaging activities which also teach them a skill. I tailor the lesson to the students - to "speak their language" so that they absorb faster and retain more.
Additional biographical information
I am a Christian, a wife to a very supportive husband, mother of five children, artist and published illustrator. I also own an art business, skincare business, and am active in my local church, and teach fitness locally.
