Working with Fractions: How to Add, Multiply, and Reduce Fractions
"Working with Fractions" is a lesson written in an informal monologue like I use when giving private lessons or tutoring. Because I have already written the words as if spoken to another person, this lesson is ideal for homeschooling teachers or self-teachers who are not familiar with fractions. I make use of visuals when they help with understanding.
The main lesson is in multiplying, reducing, and adding fractions. There is additional material for dividing fractions and finding least co

Teaching style
I like to use lots of visual aids in my work, and try emphasize intuitive understanding, not rote memorization (though some few things can only be memorized). Humans are excellent visual thinkers, and I try to leverage that strength with my work.
I also excel at identifying where students are missing understanding that's required to understand the problem at hand.
My own education history
My educational background is a combination of engineering and psychology; I have college degrees in both.
