Inquiry-based lab activity that requires use of the PHET simulations (free online). This worksheet covers the topics of magnetic poles, Earth's magnetic field, and electro-magnetic induction (both ways).

PHET Physics Simulation Energy Skate Park
Inquiry-based activity that requires use of free simulations provided online (most can be downloaded) at PHET. This activity helps students recognize conservation of energy. Topics covered include velocity, potential energy, kinetic energy, and thermal energy as well as vertical displacement.

PHET Physics Simulation Lab Electricity
Inquiry-based activity that uses free simulations from PHET online. Topics covered by this worksheet include electrostatics, conservation of charge, electric dipoles, and electric fields. Additional questions allow for an internet search of topics that may be deeper than what is required of a student in entry-level physics but will give a better understanding of why.

PHET Physics Simulation Lab Activity Capacitance
I made a series of these out of desperation from not having enough supplies for hands-on labs. This activity allows students to follow an inquiry-based lab in discovering capacitance using the PHET simulations available for free online. This particular worksheet covers the topics of an electric field, capacitance, geometric properties of capacitors, series and parallel, "voltage", and even has discussion on dielectric materials.

Teaching style
Non-American. Costa Higher Level, Bloom's Taxonomy, behaviorist, meta-cognition, bilingual, no spoon-feeding. I love teaching theory along with application. I hold students accountable for their learning. I had my Algebra 2 students working on functions and had them doing Newton difference quotient derivatives by the end of the day. I read math and science education research and am fascinated with the TIMMS. I look to our foreign counterparts for my pedagogy. I don't give homework. My students are successful and can overtake honors students in their depth and knowledge.
