Hello! I’m Jordan, a teacher and instructional design professional passionate about creating student-centered, universally designed learning experiences. Originally from Virginia, I spent my entire childhood living abroad in Albania, Indonesia, Romania, and Kenya! In addition to teaching, I am also a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology at ODU Global, and I work as an educator in a Montessori school setting.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Development with a minor in Disability Studies from Virginia Tech, where I graduated summa cum laude. During the 2023-2024 school year, I was recognized as "New Teacher of the Year" while teaching kindergarten with Richmond Public Schools. Most recently, I have worked with students in grades 4-6.
I have developed numerous skills through my previous teaching roles and internships in instructional design. These include conducting effective needs analyses, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, designing and creating impactful learning experiences and instructional materials, and efficiently implementing feedback. I am also training in accessible design, applying best practices to all my products.
