Using the RAFT technique, students will write a narrative about a slice of pizza's journey through the major organs of the digestive system.

I use this activity as a review before our unit test. Students match eleven organelles to three cards: their function, a picture that represents an analogy for that organelle's function, and a number on a diagram identifying the organelle in either a plant or animal cell.
