About the store
I studied a BSc(Hons) degree in Computing in the UK, and then a PGCE at the same university, during which I taught Computing and ICT in two high schools, while also providing Barefoot Computing training to primary schools to help them adapt to the changed curriculum. Throughout university I offered private tuition in Maths and Computing. I am now living in Australia where I work as a casual teacher as well as private tutor of Maths, English and Computer Skills to students of all ages.

Introduction to Python Lesson 2 - Data Types & Arithmetic Operators FULL LESSON
This is the first lesson in my Introduction to Python Programming unit of work. It covers what a computer is, what an algorithm is and why they need to be written carefully.
Each lesson in the unit also comes with a short quiz which can be used to assess progress and also to introduce an element of competition to the lessons.

Simplified Bubble Sort Animation
This is a video of an animation which can be used to explain how a simplified bubble sort works. I use this to show my students before looking at the algorithm, to get them thinking about how it works, I then ask them to check their predictions from the animation against the actual algorithm.
Having an animation which shows this process in detail has been extremely useful for my students in understanding the algorithm better. I tried to find something similar on YouTube before deciding to make

Teaching style
I have a flexible approach to teaching, which I can adapt depending on the level and personality of the student. I would discuss my approach with all students to find out the best approach for them.
